ABOUT THE ARTIST

The art of Troy Adams continues to grace a growing number of walls in businesses and private homes worldwide; and it continues to appeal to a wide-range of buyers. His renderings of wildlife have brought the ‘outdoors’ indoors to many people hungry for a more pristine environment. They want a place away from pollution and crowded subways. They want to look up and see something few people see an elk bugling or a bear enjoying the clover. They want a way to lower the stress of their day and Troy’s art helps them do that.

As a fine artist, Troy has his work hanging in fine art showrooms and galleries across the West. Additionally, his art has been accepted into numerous juried art shows and, quite frequently, ‘best of show’ awards hang beside his pieces.  Large foundations and associations have also featured and used his fine art including the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation ,National Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited and various other local and national organizations. Additionally, many have made a special effort to showcase his work as their ‘feature artist’.

Able to move from the fine art palate to the graphic art menu, Troy has also found a loyal following there. Published by national and international magazines, he has enjoyed repeat response from an industry that thrives of newness and freshness. Editors return to his work, time and again because they know they can always count on several things from Troy: that his work will be good, it will be clean, crisp and reproduce well; he will work on deadline; and their readers will respond to his art. In fact, some of Troy’s periodical pieces have resulted in so much appeal and demand from the readers, they have been turned into prints after their debut on magazines pages.

Magazines are not the only published material that has confidence in Troy Adams’ artwork. He has also done book illustrations, including his most recent job: revamping the illustrations in a new edition of a book published by Safari Clubs International. You have to be doing something right when a book already on the market is brought to you for artistic improvements.

In the field of commission work, Troy continues to please the most demanding customer of all, the private investor. With emotional ties to the final piece, they want a finished product that stirs those same emotional ties. Troy delivers. Be the commission of a loved family member or friend, or even a cherished pet, his work has stirred tears and joy.

Prints of his artwork are available, making it affordable for all budgets. Hand-coloring of prints and remarques are also available to personalize limited edition prints. Commission work is available on request and can be rendered in watercolor, pencil, colored pencil, pen and ink, and scratch board.  Rights to reproduce his work on specialty items for corporate or marketing needs can also be negotiated.
