Red Tailed Hawk

This is a very odd Red Tailed Hawk. We have lots of them around here but I've never seen one colored like this.....not even close. The pictures aren't too good but when it warms up a bit. I'm going to drive around and try to find him. This bird has no white marking on his wings under sides but two small white patches....same for the top of the wings. What a beautiful bird he is!

Really odd for a red tail. My resident red tails don't migrate. They're here year round. I see them on a daily basis but some of that may because I feed them starlings pretty often when I'm lucky enough to kill one. The male is 12 years old this spring. I only know him & his girl were together when he was 4 years old. I suspect they're about the same age. ........Paul H
