They got into my Onions two nights ago and consumed about 1/2 the leaves. So, I surrounded them with Moth Balls. So now the question .....since they trimmed 2/3 of the leaf tops will they stop growing or can I give them a shot of nitrogen and keep them going? They look pretty pitiful right now.

They'll be fine. Most plants are designed to take some heavy grazing.

You can treat the rabbits with lead...

That's odd. Never heard of anything but cows & people eating green onions. Moth balls never helped me get rid of anything. Might work on moth's but doesn't work for deer or moles.. I tried coyote urine for deer in the corn & tomatoes. Didn't work either. Best thing I've found for pesky rabbits & deer is lead or the electric wire. The electric wire gets their attention. The lead is a permanent thing. ......Paul H

Well, the Moth balls are working. No more consumption so far. Plants seem to be doing fine.
