Default The Mystery of the Labrador duck

anthropogenic extinction. Unlike the extinction of the Passenger Pigeon, Carolina Parakeet and Heath hen the disappearance of the Labrador Duck remains a mystery. To this day, we don't if or how we contributed to it's demise, however, we certainly did. The Passenger Pigeon once numbered in the billions but for humans they were good to eat. The same for the Heath hen. The Carolina Parakeet had beautiful colored feathers and they decorated women's hats.....and then they were gone. Four species gone forever. Pretty sad if you ask me.
