Headed for Austin by way of Vernon(TX if you don't know) . Leaving at dark thirty on the morning of the 26th, snow or no snow. Visiting my parents in Vernon and Mona's brothers in Austin. Please pray for traveling mercies and angels to guard our way. Everyone have a merry and blessed Christmas.

"Up North" we carry blankets, extra water, some cookies and candles in the trunk for emergencies. Haven't had to use them yet.

happy trails and 287/81 to Ft Worth then 35 to austin may be a little more miles but major roads are safer in bad weather.

Can't think of a better time to snowbird it, that is, flee south!
