I know some of you like to see pictures of moose:

This cow is looking very good for having two calves.

Yeah, saw that one on the news last night. Amazing. In Alaska, all white and piebald moose are protected. In other words, no shooting.

So, as predicted, they came back. And as certain as the sun rising, they ravaged my apple trees.

These calves are looking quite well. (And 'good'. ;) )

Image quality is reduced because I was taking the pictures through the dining room window.

Saw this guy by the side of the road yesterday. Wasn't 20 feet from the car. Didn't flinch when I stopped the car to take his picture. He won't survive the hunting season, as he's got "three or more brow-tines on one antler". Four on his left and three on the right. He's stew.

Great pictures. Paul. Homely looking varmints by any standard. I can almost taste the gravy. Moose are the only wild game my wife will eat. One of my favorites too. After wild sheep & fries rabbit. .....Never saw a white moose. Used to be a white deer around the neighborhood. Thanks for sharing. ......Paul H
