Sowed the turnip patch on August 15th where I had beans this summer. Came a good shower of rain that afternoon. Two days later they were coming up. It's been almost a perfect growing season for turnips since they came up. High humidity & lots of rain and sunshine. The ground has been damp to wet ever since. Granny & the babies have been snacking on them at night for a few weeks. ......I'll be canning greens & turnip mixed shortly.   .......Paul H
