"God can be trusted in the dark as well as in the light."

1In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

2Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

5For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

6The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

7The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.

8Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.    9With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth..  Isaiah 26:1-9 KJV.

Very few things in this old wicked world can be called perfect. but God promises to give us perfect peace if we trust and obey Him..so why is it so hard for us to trust in Him? do you reckon it's because we think things won't go the way we want them too?
believing God grows out of our christian faith and we show it by our increasing trust in Him and His promises..God's promises are always true..:)

have a great day and tell someone about Jesus..

Motor-

The peace of God is something very special. I have witnessed it so deeply on several occassions. One was at the moment of my father's death. Another was the night I spent with my mother, when she was so near death, and I believe had died several times, only to start breathing again after such a long time. I can vouch for that "peace that passes all understanding". It is hard to believe how high He can lift one above the problem at hand. I need to share some experiences with the forum sometime. We Christians can be a great witness to the world in the way we handle, with God's help, the problems of this life. I am guiltly of not always being willing to turn it all over to God. He is much more capable than I to handle the problem, but my ego many times gets in the way.

Motor, thanks for the post.

As a "learner" Christian I experience God's peace in the blessings that I tend not to praise Him for.

I have to remember to priase Him for the noise coming from my children's room on a Sunday afternoon when I want to catch some sleep as I have to rember that He has trusted me to riase them in His name.

I have to thank Him for bringing peace to our country after years of racial division.  I sat in an all-white church yesterday morning listening to a service given by a black minister.  What a privilege.

His peace is all around, we just have to acknowledge it.

Thanks guys, and yes that peace is a wonderful feeling..i shared this in the whitetail forum and would like to post it here..

5 years ago this coming september i was diagnosed with a very rare cancer of the blood called Waldenstroms desiese.. it is an incurable cancer but is not life threatening for most who have it..I was hunting in Georgia about a week later, and as i was walking to my stand one morning the cancer was on my mind and iwill admit i was concerned about what the outcome would be..I am a born again believer and trust in the Lord, but even so i was concerned.. all at once a wonderful feeling of peace came over me and God spoke to my soul that morning saying, Every thing will be alright..now it was not an audible voice but i heard it in my inner being just as plain as if it was..now going on 5 years later i have never had a treatment and the cancer is no worse now than it was then.. i do take a shot of Procrit every two months to keep from being anemic but that's it..God has certainly blessed this ole man and in praise Him for it and i will never forget that morning in the woods..God is good! :D

What a wonderful testimony of His grace!  I know that God talks in His way and I have never heard His voice yet His commands resonate in my mind every day.  As a nature nut I have seen His work and His task for me in every stone, blade of grass etc.  Good to hear your cancer is in remission.  Our company is involved in HIV research and I have seen some very sick people in my life.

God Bless
