I recently purchased a new tri-vis turkey sight for my 870. The problem is I cannot figure out how to remove the bead on the barrel. The bead must be removed to install a part of the sight,, but i have not been able to unscrew the bead. Any help or tips about how to get remove the bead would be greatly appreciated!

It should unscrew....As far as the info I have...

It doubt it is sweated on with solder.
Remind yourself often to SEE not just "look".

Put some vice grips on it and unscrew the sucker......What's wrong with the factory sight anyway???? Then, once you've got it unscrewed, what are you going to use to fill the little hole? Water will get in there and then rust happens. Most of the magnate type add ons just mount aft of the bead....have you tried this? Good luck, I hope this helps you bag a gobbler. Regards, Rick.
Talk to yourself. There are times you need expert advice.

On the 2 870 Express's that I have owned, they were pressed in. I drilled and tapped mine to put a new site on.
